stone + cloth, started by a man with a dream, is a company that makes backpacks, totes, and miscellaneous, basic clothing articles. In exchange he give scholarships to children in need to further, and in some cases begin, their education. Matthew Clough, the owner, created this after a visit to Tanzania, where he went hiking, reached a summit, and learned that the guide, Benson, who had been carrying his bag the whole time, did not get paid enough to receive an education. Clough then bought a sewing machine and created his first backpack, “The Benson” and from there it began. Together, we can carry an education.

Helping you help them. Orenda is a blog geared towards promotting Social Entrepreneurial companies (Buy One, Give One, charitable, fair trade, and locally grown companies), trying to make a difference in the world. "Orenda" is an Iroquoian power by which human accomplishment is attained. We want to give people the Orenda to overcome their hard times, or just to give them that push to accomplish great things. We also want Orenda to push buyers to accomplish some change in the world and overcome all of the problems our world faces today. View more posts
