It is estimated that there are over 150 million orphans worldwide. These children are at risk for trafficking, exploitation, abuse, starvation and psychological disorders. In addition to these orphans, millions of children are in danger of abandonment, disease, malnutrition and lack of education due to extreme poverty.

Ornaments4Orphans exists to bless these children by connecting their needs with our Christmas traditions. Ornaments4Orphans sells
beautiful, fair trade items handcrafted in impoverished communities, then uses the proceeds to enrich the lives of orphans and vulnerable
children; this includes jewelery, books and music, homegoods, and of course, ornaments.

Ornaments4Orphans also strives to combat the global orphan crisis through orphan prevention. Local artisans employed by Ornaments4Orphans experience a reliable income which enables them to provide for their families. They are able to make rent, put food on their tables, pay their children’s school fees, and purchase medications and other necessities which improve their overall standard of living.

Ornaments4Orphans’ mission is to empower indigenous artisans through fair trade practices, invest in the holistic care of orphaned children
through our partners, and provide our customers with an opportunity to purchase beautiful, handmade items that bless others. When you purchase products from Ornaments4Orphans, you can be certain that you have made a difference in the lives of the men, women, and children where Ornaments4Orphans is present.

As O4O ornaments hang on your Christmas tree you enjoy the creative beauty of global artisans while blessing others!

Helping you help them. Orenda is a blog geared towards promotting Social Entrepreneurial companies (Buy One, Give One, charitable, fair trade, and locally grown companies), trying to make a difference in the world. "Orenda" is an Iroquoian power by which human accomplishment is attained. We want to give people the Orenda to overcome their hard times, or just to give them that push to accomplish great things. We also want Orenda to push buyers to accomplish some change in the world and overcome all of the problems our world faces today.
